John David 'Shorty' Tucker

Winston-Salem- Mr. John David ""Shorty"" Tucker, 76, passed away February 26, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born November 9, 1935 in Rockingham County to the late John Wesley Tucker and Ollie Mae Williams Tucker. He was the owner and operator of T & T Rooter Service. Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his son, John E. Tucker and a brother, Melvin Tucker, and two sisters, Francis Tripplet and Nyoka Collins. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, JoAnn Tucker; his children, Patricia Bartlett (Tony), Anita Weavil (Tony), J.D. Tucker (Kay), and Darryl Tucker; a daughter-in-law, Tracy Tucker; ten grandchildren, Misty, Mandy, Crystal, Jennifer, Jessica, Tony, Jeffery, Grace, Justin, and Kaylle; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Sebastian (Worth Ray) and a brother, Carl Tucker (Linda). A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor David Wise officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
