John Fuel Southern, Jr.

Mr. John Fuel Southern, Jr., 51, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 20, 2015. He was born November 13, 1963 in Forsyth County to John Fuel Southern, Sr. and Clara Leonard Southern. He was a graduate of North Forsyth High School and was employed with ABF Trucking Company in Kernersville. He enjoyed sports and was an avid App State fan. John is survived by his parents, Johnny and Clara Southern of Winston-Salem; his sister, Tammy Southern Cardwell and husband Don of Kernersville; his nieces and nephews, Tanner Cardwell and wife Kristen of Mocksville, Nicholas Cardwell and wife Kira of Boone, Amanda Jones and husband Dan of Greensboro, Amber Wooten and husband Brandon of California, Elijah Cardwell and Zane Cardwell both of Kernersville. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, April 24, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Carver officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
