John Edward Snodgrass, Jr.

SNODGRASS John Edward Snodgrass, Jr., 81, of Pfafftown, NC, passed away on Sunday December 26, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Snodgrass was born on November 7, 1929 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. John served his country in the United States Air Force and retired after 32 years of service as a supervisor with McLean Trucking Company. Mr. Snodgrass was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward Snodgrass, Sr. and Vada Iris McClure Snodgrass and a son, Randal Snodgrass. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou Snodgrass of the home; a son, Larry Snodgrass and wife Nancy of Independence, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Darrell Snodgrass, Christina Lawson, Richard Snodgrass, Melanie Pravia, Mark Snodgrass; two sisters, Isla Jean Sergent of Luling, Louisiana and Lois Ann Young of Elk View, West Virginia; as well as six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday at College Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Ramon Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to College Park Baptist Church, 1701 Polo Rd.
