John Watson Simpson, Sr.

Summerfield-John Watson Simpson, Sr., 86, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Beacon Place-Hospice at Greensboro. He was born December 12, 1924 in Guilford Co. to the late William Edgar and Nell Moore Simpson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Murphy Simpson. Surviving are his daughter, Joan Simpson Bunton (Alvin); three sons, John W. Simpson, Jr. (Linda), Jerry D. Simpson (Kay), Jack W. Simpson (Rhonda Stell); 7 grandchilren; 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Welborn, Peggy Doss; and his 2 beloved cats. A private family service will be conducted at a later date.
