John William Seivers, II

Oak Ridge - John William Seivers, II, 76, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Beacon Place - Hospice of Greensboro. He was born January 6, 1936 in Forsyth Co. to the late Louis Martin and Lena Elizabeth Philpott Seivers. John was a member of Central Baptist Church. He served in the United States Marine Corp, and was a retired Forsyth Co. Sheriff's Deputy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Sheila Seivers. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Ricks Seivers of the home; four daughters, Melissa Flynt (Danny), Jo Pat Seivers, Amy Austin (Bob), Ginger Taylor (Ron); one son, Tim Seivers (Cathy);four step-children, Jackie Pearce (Mary), Vickie Parks (Tony), Scott Pearce (Gwyn), Amy Clegg (Jimmy); fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; eight step-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Lou Adams; and his faithful pets, Daisy and Puddin. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 19, 2012 at Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge with Dr. Roy L. Carter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A private inurnment service for the family will be conducted at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Greensboro Hospice and Palliative Care staff, and a special appreciation to Dr. John William Moore and staff.
