John Long Paschal, Jr.

Mr. John Long Paschal, Jr. 89 of Winston-Salem, died Sunday morning November 15, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Paschal was born October 20, 1920 in Alamance county, a son of the late John L. Paschal and the late Annie Lee Barnett Paschal. He was an US Air Force veteran during WWII serving in China, Burma, and India. He was retired from Piedmont Airlines with 28 years of service, and was a charter member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Aldridge Paschal in 2001, sisters, Margaret Cheek, Gertrude Greeson and Cleo Paschal, and brother, Tom Paschal. He is survived by his children, Mike Paschal and wife Teresa, Jesse Paschal, Tony Paschal and wife Zeny, Martha Young and husband Rick, 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday November 17, 2009 at Crestview Memorial Park with Rev. Judson Milam officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
