John Thomas Myers

KERNERSVILLE John Thomas Myers, 60, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born October 10, 1950 in Guilford Co. to the late Samuel and Levada Thomas Myers. Mr. Myers graduated from Parkland Senior High School and the NC School of the Arts. He became disabled during his tour in Vietnam, and had received the Purple Heart and many other awards. Surviving are his wife, Gwynne Leffel Myers of the home; two sons, Matthew and Elijah Myers; two brothers, Samuel Myers and wife, Dayla, Ronald Burton and wife, Melissa; and step-mother, Ruby Myers. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 5:00 pm Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Richard Thomas officiating.
