John Morgan

John Michael Morgan, age 70, passed away on July 28, 2024, at his home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

John was born on May 4, 1954, in Kershaw County to Thomas Nolan Morgan and Fanny Lee Horton Morgan.

John retired from Hanesbrands, Inc. after a long career in IT.

He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1972 where he was in the marching band and played trombone. John loved playing golf, and often took trips with friends. He additionally loved following his favorite sports teams – The Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, Clemson Tigers, Washington Redskins, and the Jets.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Fanny Lee Horton Morgan; and brother, Thomas Nolan Morgan, Jr.

John is survived by his wife Michele; his sisters Mina Ann (Juan) Gonzales and Bonnie (Edward) Phillips; and his nephews and nieces, Carlos (Mary Beth) Gonzales, Lisa (Mark) Gonzales King, Caroline Morgan, Thomas Morgan (Tommy), Angela (Tim) Phillips Neal and Melinda Phillips Williams.
