John Augustus Minster, Jr.

Mr. John Augustus Minster, Jr., 90, of Clemmons passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Clemmons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born September 13, 1919 in Chemung County, NY to John Augustus Minster, Sr. and Alene Horton Minster. Mr. Minster was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Welcome. He was retired from Ingersoll Rand with 15 years of Service. He played the saxophone and loved music. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Joseph. Surviving is his wife, Edna Nicklaus Minster; a son, Gerald L. Minster and wife Barbara of Casselberry, FL; a daughter, Marjorie Foote of Ithaca, NY; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a brother, Daniel Minster and wife Ginger of Horseheads, NY; two sisters, Jeannine Minster of Elmira, NY and Jacqueline Currie and husband Peter of Winston-Salem; and a sister-in-law, Willimina Minster.
