John Meadors

Mr. John Michael Meadors, 82, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.  He was born April 27, 1938 in Greenville, SC to the late Ansel Reuben Meadors, Jr. and Jennie Knight Meadors.  Mike was a devoted husband, father, and mentor.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem. Mr. Meadors was a graduate of Furman University in 1960.  He began his career at Retail Credit Service and then worked in the Insurance Industry for 35 plus years as a CLU and LUTCF, retiring from Jefferson Pilot Financial.  Mr. Meadors taught classes to insurance agents and was active in Life Underwriters Association.  In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his loving wife, Amelia Findley Meadors.  He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Meadors Weatherman, and husband Greg of Lewisville; son, Michael Glenn Meadors of North Wilkesboro; sister, Anne Gray, and husband Michael of Easley, SC; and numerous nieces and a nephew.  A graveside service will take place 1:00 PM Saturday, February 6th at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673 with Rev.
