Mr. John David McClamrock, 78, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. He was born in Davie County on April 1, 1931 to the late Albert and Flossie McClamrock. John was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in King. He had coached Little League in Lewisville, loved golf and enjoyed working with wood. John was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from R.J.R Archer division. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by the mother of his two sons, Helen Rose McClamrock, two sisters, Jane Hepler Clark and Helen Leonard and two brothers, Calvin ""Bud"" McClamrock and C.B. ""Pat"" McClamrock. John is survived by his loving wife, Coseyetta Butner McClamrock of the home, two sons, Joel McClamrock and Susan Singletary of Winston-Salem and Marty and Susan McClamrock of East Bend, two special step-sons, Greg and Sheryl Tucker of Pinnacle and Wade and Wendy Tucker of Midland and a very special step-daughter, Christine Stephens of King. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chad and Jennifer McClamrock of Hamptonville, Jeff and Angie Siedlecki of Winston-Salem, Jason McClamrock and Brandi McClamrock both of East Bend, special grandchildren, Meredith and Ian Tedder of Wilmington and Darryl Tucker of Pinnacle, five great-grandchildren and his sisters, Gladys Hudson of Advance and Hazel Thomas of Winston-Salem along with many nieces, nephews and his church family from Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services for John will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Broyhill and Dr. Roger Baker officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery in King. The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening February 27, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church in King. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to; Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the loving care given by the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
