John Mack Williams, 94, of Rural Hall, NC passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021. He was born October 4, 1927, in Wilkes County, NC to Noah and Nelly Williams. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Stacey and Sue; two brothers, RV and Bob and wife Marie. He is survived by Doris Webster of the home; children, Randy Williams (Melva), Susan Christian (Chris), and Emily Bare (Michael); three grandchildren, Eric Williams (Stephanie), Tony Williams (Ann), and Tyler Wagoner (David); great-grandchildren, Dakota Williams (Kayla), Dylan Higgins (Bryan), Alyssa Williams, Chase Williams, and Aiden Bare; and two great great- grandchildren, Elektra Williams and Maizie Belle Higgins. “Pawpaw” was a hard-working man of faith that was always there to make sure family was safe and taken care of. He was the owner of Williams Upholstery and his tree farm of 50 years. He retired with 31 years of service in Rural Hall VFD. A memorial service will be conducted Friday, December 10, 2021, at 4pm at Bethel United Methodist Church, 7553 Hwy 66 South with Pastor Baxter Slaughter III officiating. The family would like to express their gratitude to the assistance given by Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel during this time.
