Kernersville - John Kevin Lowe, 54, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 21, 2024, surrounded by a multitude of friends and family. Kevin was born on January 26, 1970, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to John Urban and Bettie Gard Lowe. His family later moved to Pilot Mountain where he graduated from East Surry High School. He went on to attend classes at Western Carolina University and Surry Community College. Kevin followed in his father’s footsteps and went into the car business where he had stayed for over 30 years. He married his wife, Jennifer on September 7, 2002, and in July of 2007 the couple welcomed twin sons, Matthew and Davis. He was so very proud of them both and cherished time with his family. You could often find Kevin at the golf course or riding his Harley Davidson in his younger days. Over the years as his boys got older, he traded time at the golf course and on a motorcycle for time at the baseball field or cooking BBQ. Kevin was a dedicated husband, father and friend. He was unapologetically honest, funny, and the most loyal friend anyone could hope to meet. The hole he leaves behind for everyone is great. Kevin attended Eden Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking bbq dinners and running the equipment for family movie nights.
Kevin is preceded in death by his father, John Urban Lowe. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer and twin boys, Matthew and Davis of Kernersville, NC, mother, Bettie Gard Lowe of Elizabeth City, NC, brother, Shawn Lowe and nieces Camryn and Brooklyn Lowe of Peachtree City, GA, sister in law, Mindy Fulton (Taylor) and nephews, Jaxson and Conner Fulton of Walkertown, NC, brother in law, Justin Howell of Charlotte, NC, stepmother, Jerry Lowe of North Myrtle Beach, SC, mother in law, Ann Roark of Kernersville, NC, step mother in law, Cheryl Howell of Walkertown, NC, and many other family members and friends.
A funeral will be held at 2pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Eden Methodist Church, located at 844 Eden Church Road in Madison, NC. A visitation with family will be held on Wednesday April 24, 2024, from 6-8 pm at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Eden Methodist Church in memory of our Kevin.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Reynolds Tower 4th floor ICU for their wonderful care and compassion. You became an extension of our family, and we are forever grateful.
