John Lannan

Mr. John Lannan, 82, formerly from Bridgeport, WV passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Forest Heights Memory Care in Winston-Salem, NC.  He was the son of the late Paul and Vera Lee Lannan.  John is survived by his wife Pat Collier Lannan.  They have been married for 62 years and have three children; Tim of Virginia Beach, VA, Kim Toothman and husband Don of Cornelius, NC and Darren Lannan of Brushy Fork, Bridgeport, WV.  Also surviving are six grandchildren, Taylor Toothman Sulowski and husband Szymon of Winston-Salem, NC, Spencer, Sarah and Bella Toothman of Cornelius, NC, Sam Lannan of Milwaukee, WI and Blake Lannan of Morgantown, WV; great grandson, Oskar Sulkowski of Winston-Salem, NC and his Shih Tzu, Lana.  John retired from the West Virginia State Police and Peabody Coal.  His favorite past-time was hunting at Brushy Fork and big game in Colorado.   He was a member of the UMWA and the Bridgeport United Methodist Church.  A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s or to a charity of your choice.  Online condolences may be made to www.hayworth-miller.com.  (Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel)
