John Willard Lane

John Willard Lane, age 66, passed away October 25, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Beaver County, Pa. November 4, 1948 to the late Edwin Willard and Auguste Maria Lane. John Served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1973. His profession was that of great skill in carpentry and mechanical projects. He loved being with his family and fishing was one of those things he loved to share with them. One of his most favorite things to do was tinkering. He loved using his mind and hands to build and fix things. He is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Carola Hennemann Lane; Sister, Donna Lee Lane, and his parents. John is survived by his son, John E. Lane; Daughter, Nicole Holt (Fiancée Pete Bishop); granddaughters, Reagan Holt, Beatrice Lane; step granddaughters, Lindsay Holt, Morgan Bishop, Brooke Gibbings (John); Sister, Shirley Hultquist (Greg); Nephews, Erik Hultquist (Emily), Mike Hultquist (Gloria); Great Nephews, Conar and Victor Hultquist and numerous cousins. A funeral service will be conducted 12:00 P.M. Saturday October 31, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel Rural Hall with Rev. Randy Storz officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park, 6850 University Parkway, Rural Hall, N.C. The family will receive friends prior to the service, starting at 10:30 A.M.
