John Jenkins

Mr. John Henry Jenkins, 76, passed away peacefully at his home. He was born in Forsyth Co. on December 27, 1944 the son of the late Russell McKinley Jenkins and Zella Lou Duggins Jenkins. John worked in construction most of his life and had a good reputation as a roofer. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Doss Jenkins; a son, John Henry Jenkins, Jr.; two grandsons, Josh Jenkins and Jason Jenkins; and two brothers, Jimmy Jenkins and Dewey Jenkins. John is survived by a brother, Ray Jenkins; a sister, Genevia Snell; a step-son, Mark David Spence; a step-daughter, Lindsay Nichols; a grandson, Braxton Burton; and a special friend, Brenda Nichols. He is also survived by his special canine friend, Buddy. A visitation will held on Monday, May 24, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. There will be no formal services at this time.
