John Jener Idol

Mr. John Jener Idol, 53 of Advance, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born January 17, 1957 in Forsyth County to the late Robert Lee Idol and Barbara Griffin Idol. Mr. Idol was employed with Tyco Electronics and had served proudly in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Beauchamp Idol of the home; two step-daughters, Chastity Whitaker of Jackson Heights, N.Y. and Carrie Whitaker of Winston-Salem; one step-grandson, Rhaynely Whitaker; his mother, Barbara Griffin Idol of Kernersville; one sister, Patsy Idol Davis and husband Gurney E., Jr. of Kernersville; one niece, Jaime Davis Casstevens and husband Allen of Cumming, GA and a grand niece, Hailey Casstevens. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Kernersville Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
