John "Bill" William Holder

Mr. John ""Bill"" William Holder, 87, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born September 21, 1929 in Forsyth County. Bill was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church and retired from Roadway Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Clinton Holder and Viola Fulp Holder; his wife, Mildred Burton Holder and his son, William Keith Holder. Surviving are his daughter, Karen Jones and husband, Gary of Advance; two grandchildren, Shannon Powell and husband Brad of Olin and Gary Bradley Jones of Advance and one great granddaughter, Emma Jones. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Marilyn Weiler officiating.
