John was his wife’s best friend and was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Teresa Hemrick; two daughters, Jaclyne Hemrick and Anna Wooten (husband, Taylor); four grandchildren, Haylee Jade Cundiff, Cheyenne Skyy Woods, Reagan John David Wooten, and Blakely Halo Wooten; four siblings, Preston Hemrick (wife, Susan), Randy Hemrick (wife, Cindy), Beverly Vanhoy (husband, Brian), and Steve Hemrick (wife, Angie); two half-sisters, Jean Hemric Childress (husband, Charles) and Mary Lee Templeton; many nieces and nephews; and his special long legged beagle, Ranger.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Novant Oncology Center and Kernersville Medical Center for their care for John. They would also like to give special thanks to everyone for visits, well wishes, and prayers.
