John Michael Glinsky

Summerfield, NC - John M. Glinsky passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side on June 18, 2016, after a long battle with cancer.
John was born in Fulton, NY to Edward and Anna (Loveless) Glinsky. He married JoAnne Hoomany in 1963. They lived in Fulton until 1994, where they raised their daughter Tracy. John was a Pattern Maker for Black Clawson in Fulton before building homes as an independent contractor. John and JoAnne spent time in Florida before moving to Summerfield, NC in 2001. In Summerfield, John formed John Glinsky Builders, Inc., where he took pride in building luxury homes.
John was a generous man with a warm heart and quick sense of humor. He will be remembered as a dedicated husband and father and a respected businessman.
John is survived by his wife, JoAnne, and daughter, Tracy McTeer, sisters Margaret Misevic of Camarillo, CA and Mary O'Connor of Scarborough, ME, brothers James of Beaumont, TX and Edward of Goldsboro, NC; brothers-in-law Burt Misevic, Rodney Vessels, Gary O'Connor, John Hoomany, Joe Hoomany, and Jerry Hoomany; sisters-in-law Barbara Glinsky, Ann Hoomany, Debra Hoomany, and Julie Hoomany; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Judith Vessels.
There will be a funeral mass for John at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic church, in Greensboro, NC. At the family's request donations may be made to Beacon Place Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro at 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
