Mr. John Worth Gambill, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Tuesday May 17, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Gambill was born on July 18, 1931 in Forsyth County to the late Mr. George and Walsie Gambill. Mr. Gambill worked in the construction business as a tile layer. He enjoyed fishing with his brothers and spending time with his grandchildren. Preceding Mr. Gambill in death along with his parents are a brother, Sherrell Gambill; two sisters, Dona Reece and Mae Byrd. Surviving Mr. Gambill are a son, Arnold Gambill (Pam) of Tobaccoville; one granddaughter, Sydney Gambill of Winston-Salem; two grandsons, Jared and Corey Gambill of Winston-Salem; two brothers, George Gambill and Clay Gambill of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Marie Icenhower and Ruth Gambill of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
