John Joseph Fishel

Mr. John Joseph Fishel, 64, died on March 3, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. John was born in Pamlico County on July 8, 1951 to Ava Broughton and Joseph Fishel. A veteran of the Unites States Army, he proudly served his country from 1974-1976. He was employed by Wake Forest Baptist Health as a receiving clerk for 15 years. Surviving are his loving wife of 23 years, Martha; two sons, Timothy Wayne Fishel and Steven Michael Fishel; two daughters, Mary Denise Evans (husband Billy) and Amy Elaine Evans; seven grandchildren, Jaden Fishel, Kalieb Fishel, Kevin Fishel, Alexis Denny, Cody Evans, Lacy Oxendine, Jr. and Gracie Evans; and two brothers, Daniel Thomas Fishel and James David Fishel. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Parklawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
