John David Farmer

KERNERSVILLE- John David Farmer, 40, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010. He was born February 25, 1969 in Carroll Co., VA to John Boyd Farmer and Evelyn Beasley Hall. David attended Kerwin Baptist Church. He was a former volunteer firefighter with the Piney Grove Fire and Rescue. In 2007 he returned to Kernersville to work in fire restoration. He recently was employed with the town of Kernersville Parks and Recreation. He was preceded in death by an infant brother, ""Todd""; and two step-brothers. Surviving are his wife, Donna Vestal Farmer of the home; two sons, Matthew Farmer of Colfax, and Bradley Farmer of Rural Hall; his father and ""mom"", Johnny and Barbara Farmer of Galax, VA; his mother, Evelyn Hall of Hillsville, VA; maternal grandmother, Ella Beasley of Hillsville, VA; three sisters, Gwen Williams and husband Scott, Angie Leonard and husband Jake, and Stacey Sparks and husband Keith all of Galax, VA; one brother, E. Steven Hall and wife Tami of Hillsville, VA;one step-brother, Shawn Stone of Mt. Airy; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Kerwin Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm Friday, January 15, 2010 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
