John Dumont

Mr. John Francis Dumont, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

John was born February 9, 1932, in Allegheny Co., PA to Francis and Louise Dumont.  He retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 35 plus years of service and also served in the U.S. Army. Most of all, he fiercely loved his wife of 60 years, Nancy Reavis Dumont.  Nancy preceded him in death in 2019.  In addition to his wife, John was preceded in death by his parents; son, Monty Francis Dumont; and brother, Frank Dumont.

John is survived by his daughters, Susan Greene (Cliff) and Debra Thompson (Steve); son, Jack Daniel Dumont (Kathy); grandchildren, Heather, Brad, Amber, Daniel, Matthew, and Jennifer; 8 great grandchildren; and brother, Thomas Daniel Dumont (Nancy).

A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021, at 2 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
