John Howard Cockerham

Mr. John Howard Cockerham, 61 of Winston-Salem went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Cockerham was born November 11, 1946 in Forsyth County to Raymond Theodore and Sarah Frances Yountz Cockerham. He was retired from Triad Mobile Home Supplies and attended Rosemont Baptist Church. Surviving to cherish his memory is a sister, Teresa Coppley and husband Louie of Welcome; a brother, Dennis Cockerham of Kernersville; two nephews, Tony and Adam Miller; and two nieces, Carolyn Myers and Paula Mabe. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Keith Heitman officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:30 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service, and at all other times at the home of his sister, Teresa Coppley, 421 Welcome-Arcadia Road, Lexington, N.C., 27295. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103.
