John Marvin Butt

Walkertown - John Marvin Butt, 80, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born November 5, 1932 in WV to the late Robert and Elizabeth Perdue Butt John served two years in the United States Army. He retired in 1993 from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. after 20 years of service. Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Margaret Hendrick Butt of the home; his son, Eddie (Frances) Butt; daughter, Marcella Cooke; four grandchildren, Elizabeth (Chris), Melinda, Kevin, and Kimberly; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Jared. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Rev. Mark Smith and Rev. Tim Gammon officiating.
