John Herbert Bodford

Mr. John Herbert Bodford, 80, of Clemmons passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at his home. He was born July 12, 1929 in Forsyth County to John William and Mary Everhart Bodford. Mr. Bodford was a member of Bethesda Moravian Church. He was retired from Piedmont/US Air with 26 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Faye Davis Bodford. Surviving are two sons, Gary Bodford and wife Janice of Indian Trail and Craig Bodford and wife Angie of King; four daughters, Joan Dunn and husband Keith of Mocksville, Barbara Morgan and husband Tradd of Charlotte, Donna Hicks and husband Tom of Mocksville, LuAnn Deweese and husband Jay of Lexington; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruby Clinard and Jean Faircloth, both of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 5 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons with the Rev. Richard Spaugh and the Rev. Gary Bodford officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
