Winston-Salem – Mr. John Nicholas “Jabe” Baloga, 68, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born April 3, 1951 in Perth Amboy, N.J. He was of the Catholic faith. He lived in Hazlet, N.J. for 35 years until moving to the triad in 2009 where he worked for Mack/Volvo/HCL. John was an exceptional family man and would do anything for family and friends. He loved fishing, boating, and traveling to Hawaii with his beloved wife, Barbara, of 46 years. John was preceded in death by his parents John and Kathryn Dempsey Baloga. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, sister Malvina “Tooie” Baloga, daughter Tracy Deak Marko and her husband, John, of N.J., son Kevin and his wife, Georgia, of N.C., and 4 grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Andi, Gavin, and Makayla. He is also survived by a few sisters- and brothers-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews who he loved dearly, too. Funeral services will be private.
