Joe Angel

Walkertown – Mr. Joe Glenn Angel, 86, passed away June 7, 2019 at Kernersville Medical Center. He was born October 23, 1932 in Forsyth County to the late Raleigh Glenn Angel and Grace Nelson Angel. His wife summed him beautifully, He loved life, his family, nature, and making things beautiful. As a farmer he had a deep love for the earth, and did many special things for his grandchildren, like plant them a huge pumpkin patch. He loved his grandkids deeply, and let nothing get in his way of following them anywhere.

Surviving are his loving wife of 66 years, Mary Ann Veach Angel, two daughters; Debby Pegram (Steve), and Denise Verdinek (Bob), four grandchildren; Brandon, John, Andrew, and Gretchen, four great grandchildren; Harper, Hayden, Lila,and Dylan, and two sisters; Joyce Larrimore, and Rebecca Steward.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 10, 2019 at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church in Walkertown with Pastor Dan Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center. Memorials may be made to the general fund at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church 2715 Darrow Rd.
