Jody Wayne Jessup

Mr. Jody Wayne Jessup, 52, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025. He was born June 5, 1972, in Forsyth County, NC to Barbara Payne Jessup and the late Tom Junior Jessup. Jody enjoyed fishing, was an avid coon hunter who won a world coon hunting championship as well as seven Purina Points Championships. He also enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and watching UNC athletics. In addition to his mother Barbara, Jody is survived by a brother, Terry Jessup, and many loving cousins, friends, and extended family. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00PM Saturday April 5,2025 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Randy Elliot officiating. Interment will follow the service at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in King, NC. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
