Joanne Gilmore O'Donnell

Mrs. Joanne Gilmore O'Donnell, age 84 of Bermuda Run, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015. She was born March 21, 1930 in New York, NY to Francis Edward and Anne Horrigan Gilmore. Mrs. O'Donnell was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Barbara McGann. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Tom O'Donnell, Jr., one son, Tom O'Donnell, III (Mary) of Apex; three daughters, Nancy McKay (Jim) of Advance, Julianne Hanes also of Advance and Kathy Mishue (Mike) of Salisbury; seven grandchildren, Sara (Jason), Brenden, Jake, Meredith, Kerry, Keith and Nicolas, two great grandchildren, Harper and Sawyer; two sisters, Julie Reilly and Maureen Parise and one brother, Peter Gilmore. A funeral mass will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, January 9, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church by Father Michael Buttner. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Davie County, 377 Hospital Street, Suite 103, Mocksville, NC 27028.
