Mrs. Jo Ann Linville Tuttle, 73, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on October 3, 2020. She was born on January 19, 1947 to Robert Emmanuel Linville and Rosa Blackburn Linville in Forsyth County. Jo Ann attended Salem Baptist School and went on to graduate from West Forsyth High School. She earned a BS from Winston Salem State and later, a master’s degree from Central Michigan University. She retired from Forsyth Medical Center as Director of Coronary Rehab, with 44 years of dedicated service. Jo Ann married her high school sweetheart in 1967. The couple knew the secret to a happy marriage, always ending their days by saying, “I love you” and “I love you, too.” Jo Ann enjoyed music, particularly playing piano. A woman of faith, she loved her church family. She had the biggest heart, always putting others first and caring deeply about each one of her patients. Jo Ann was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Surviving are her devoted husband of 53 years, Ray Tuttle; daughter, Michelle Mize and her husband, Jimmy E. Mize, Jr.; and a grandson, Colton Ray Mize, who she loved with all her heart. Her group of friends was too extensive to list and Jo Ann wouldn’t want anyone to be left out. She loved them all. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Open-Air Chapel of Peace, with Pastor Eddie Clark officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Assn./ American Stroke Assn., 10 Glenlake Pkwy, NE South Tower, Ste. 400, Atlanta, GA 30328; or Alzheimer’s Assn., 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
