JoAnn Schipper Sprinkle

Mrs. JoAnn Schipper Sprinkle, age 76 of Rural Hall went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday evening, November 25, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Sprinkle was born in Forsyth County, November 14, 1934 to the late Ernst Ludwig and late Elizabeth Collins Schipper. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Mrs. Sprinkle was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Rural Hall. She enjoyed watching women's basketball, softball and the Little League World Series Baseball. She loved gardening and spending time playing video games with her grandchildren and family. In addition to her parents Mrs. Sprinkle was preceded in death by her grandson; Zachary Wyatt and three brothers. Surviving are her husband of 57 years; John Sprinkle of the home. Four daughters; Sandra (Jeff) Wyatt, Joni (Ronnie) Newsom, Ellen (Marty) Dekkers, and Meredith Galyean (Toby Ballard). Eight grandchildren; Justin, Jessica, Greg, John, Emily, Tori, Tanner and Sydny. One great grandchild; Corinne. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Rural Hall by Rev. Stacie Loizeaux. The family will receive friends at the church following the services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Walnut Cove, P.O. Box 863, Walnut Cove, NC 27052 or to the Cancer Services of Winston-Salem, 3175 Maplewood Ave. Winston-Salem, NC 27103 The family would like to express a very special Thank You to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Walnut Cove and to the Cancer Services of Winston-Salem for all the care and support they provided during Mrs. Sprinkle's illness.
