Jo Ann Marsh

Mrs. Jo Ann Spach Marsh, 78, of Winston-Salem, passed away at her residence on Sunday, January 9, 2022.  Jo Ann was born in Forsyth County on October 20, 1943, to the late Monroe Lee Spach and Sarah Evelyn Carroll Spach.  She was employed with Royal Development for more than 30 years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Myers; second husband, Wayne Marsh; three brothers, Roger, Andy, and Raymond; sister, Doris Fay; and special nephew, Ethan Watts.  Jo Ann is survived by her daughters, Fay Martinez (Jose), Kathy Motsinger Redding (James), Sue Yarbrough (Luke), and Lisa Hege (Steve Dillon); eleven grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; one sister, Janet Moser; and special friends and neighbors, Deb and Chett Fulcher and Mickey and Melissa Vogler.  The family would like to thank Jo Ann’s special grandson and sons-in-law for the care and love they showed her, Thomas Motsinger, James Redding, and Jerry Motsinger as well as Well Care Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.  Jo Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 12:45 – 1:45 pm prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Well Care Hospice, 5380 US-158 Suite 210, Advance, NC 27006.
