JoAnn Wright Combs

Mrs. JoAnn Wright Combs, 73, of Advance passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born September 11, 1939 in Mt. Airy, N.C. to Arthur and Ethel Branson Wright. She was a member of Green Meadows Baptist Church and was a retired homemaker. JoAnn loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are her husband of 18 years, Bill Newton Combs, Jr.; a son, Jake Hodges (Lori) of Morganton, N.C.; a stepdaughter, Kerrie Combs, of Kernersville; a stepson, Kris Combs (Shannon) of Rolesville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Kayla and Jacob Hodges, Alexis and K.C. Combs; and two brothers, Robert Wright and Barry Wright. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Green Meadows Baptist Church with Pastor Josh Greene officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
