Joan Priest Thompson

Mrs. Joan Priest Thompson, 87, passed away February 10, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born December 25, 1929 in Toronto, Canada to the late Ernest Priest and Keturah Alice Hallam Priest. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Thompson in 2005. She was a member of Shiloh Lutheran Church and she retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System as Food Service Manager with 21 years of service. Mrs. Thompson is survived by her two sons, Stephen Thompson and wife Marcia and Paul Thompson; three step-grandchildren, Dawn, Jodie, and Rodney; her sister, Alice Moffatt and husband Harold. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, February 13, 2017 at Shiloh Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. John Beeg officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 1:30pm in the fellowship hall of Shiloh Lutheran Church.
