Joan Bodenhamer Staley

Mrs. Joan Bodenhamer Staley, 69, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, June 6, 2011. Joan was born July 14, 1941 in Davidson County to the late Holland Lafayette and Ruth Mae Bodenhamer. She was retired from Cook Medical Center with 12 years of service and was a member of Union Cross Moravian Church. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband Gene Carl Staley of the home, two daughters; Ronda Staley and husband, David of Liberty, NC, Tammy Foy and husband, Frankie of Kannapolis, NC, five grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a sister, Kay Cook of Rural Hall, NC. The Staley family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, June 8, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A Memorial Service will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, June 9, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel officiated by the Rev. Pat Garrett.
