Joan Martin

Ms. Joan Lafevers Martin, 80, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Universal Health Care in King. She was born March 31, 1941, in Cabarras County to the late Ralph Jackson and Margaret Cox Lafevers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Joan had a passion for bowling and her pets. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan. In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her twin sister, Joyce. She is survived by her two daughters, Denise Bell (David) and Cenda Clodfelter; four grandchildren, Katy, Jessie, Chris, and Emily; seven great-grandchildren, Marleea, Evey, Nesiah, Aubree, Dominic, Asher, and Eliana; and one nephew, Darren. A Celebration of life will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stokes County Animal Shelter.
