Joan Zimmerman Bryson

BRYSON Mrs. Joan Zimmerman Bryson, 73, of Clemmons, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born May 9, 1940 in Forsyth County to Guy Beckel Zimmerman and Ethel Snyder Zimmerman. She was educated at UNC and at Salem College and taught school and worked in Real Estate. Mrs. Bryson was a lifelong member of Friedberg Moravian Church and was active over many years in her church and community activities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Manning Bryson and a sister, Beth Ann Zimmerman. Surviving are two sons, David Bryson (Tracie) of Clemmons and Joe Bryson (Mary Beth) of Charlotte; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jeb, Mary Charles and Nate. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Friedberg Moravian Church with Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
