Jimmy Lee Moore

Mr. Jimmy Lee Moore of Clemmons, died Monday, January 7, 2013 following a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. He was born in Iredell County to the late John and Clara Foutz Moore on December 24, 1935. Mr. Moore was a graduate of Pfeiffer University and had served in the US Army Reserves and had retired as an auditor with the North Carolina Department of Revenue. Jim enjoyed exercising and playing golf. He had served as a volunteer at the Samaritan Soup Kitchen, Crisis Control, the Walkertown Lutheran Home and Meals on Wheels. Jim was devoted to his family and we will miss him very much. He is survived by his wife June Hinson Moore; a daughter Sherye Hall (Jeff) and granddaughters, Allison Paige and Kelly Kristin Hall of Winston-Salem. Also surviving are a sister, Pat Ramseur and nephew, Donny Ramseur of Concord. A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Lutheran Church of the Epiphany in Winston-Salem with Pastor E. Ray Mohrmann officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A private committal will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Samaritan Ministry, 1243 Patterson Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 or the endowment fund of Epiphany Lutheran Church, 5220 Silas Creek Parkway - Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
