Jimmy Kent Jessee

Winston-SalemMr. Jimmy Kent Jessee, 60, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on November 23, 1952 in Pulaski, VA. Mr. Jessee retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with 22 years of service. He was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Jessee enjoyed history, being outside, especially hunting and fishing. Surviving are two daughters, April Jessee and Sarah Sanders (Chase); two granddaughters, Ava Jessee and Ella Sanders; his parents, Gaylord and Sarah Collier Jessee; four sisters, Gaylan Bolz, Daphne Brown (Steven), Mollie Draughon (Ted), and Melanie Harris; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 6:00 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Pastor Josh Hill officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Forsyth Humane Society, 61 Miller St. Winston-Salem, NC 27104 or to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
