Mr. James ""Jimmy"" Edward Gregg, Jr., 60, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
Jimmy was born January 10, 1955 to James Gregg, Sr. and Betty Freeman Gregg in Sullivan County, TN. He was owner of Old Lexington Front End & Frame Shop. Jimmy's life revolved around his family and racing. When he wasn't racing his ""28"" car at Bowman Gray Stadium and other racetracks, he was busy spoiling his grandchildren. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father.
Jimmy is survived by his cherished wife, Judy McAnalley Gregg; mother, Betty Freeman Gregg; children, Lisa Spegal (Daniel), Eric Gregg, Billy Gregg (Christy), Delores Moore (Kevin), John Gregg (Jennifer), Jonathan Bouldin, and Jessica Johnson; sister, Susie Lewis; brother, Ricky Gregg (Wendy); 16 grandchildren; and beloved dog, ""28"".
A celebration of Jimmy's life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Gardens of Memory - Walkertown. The family will receive friends Friday, March 13, 2015 from 5 pm - 8 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
