Mr. Jimmy Dwight Doby, 71, of Winston-Salem passed away January 12, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Forsyth County to the late Steven Eugene and Mary Burke Doby. He was a member of Davie Baptist Church and was very involved in all activities until his health declined. He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Sloan Doby of the home; a son, Randy Dewayne Doby (Donna Sue); two daughters, Dana Muto (Mike) and Lisa Gamble (Ken); four grandchildren, Daniel Muto, Sara Gamble, Katherine Muto, and Benjamin Gamble; a brother, Steve ""Bud"" Doby; Special friends, Elma Edwards, Mike and Susie Weddle, and W.C. and Carol Parker and many other dear friends; He is also survived by numerous cousins. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, January 15, 2010 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Dennis Caudle and Chaplain Randy Hillman officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Doctors and nurses on the 7th and 9th floors of Forsyth Medical Center for their care and support.
