Jimmy Lee Crews

GREENSBORO-Jimmy Lee Crews, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at his home. He was born June 10, 1932 in Forsyth Co. to the late William Carl and Lala Brown Crews.

Mr. Crews was a member of the Kernersville V.F.W. and Moose Lodge. He loved to play golf, work in his yard and watch racing. Jimmy was a social butterfly and he loved people.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin and Jack Crews.

Surviving are his wife, Kathy Landreth Crews of the home; four daughters, Kim Crews Hales, Lynn Crews Cooper, Dana Crews Lineberry and Kathryn Lee Crews; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Chuck Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
