Jimmy Clodfelter

Mr. Jimmy Roger Clodfelter, 80, of Lexington, NC, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Jimmy was born in Forsyth County on December 12, 1937, to the late Colon E. Clodfelter and Katherine Sapp Clodfelter. He graduated from Griffith High School and attended Piedmont Bible College. Jimmy worked at McLean Trucking Company for close to 20 years. In addition to his work at the trucking company, he served numerous church congregations including Plaza Baptist Church, Amity Baptist Church in Walburg, Bible Moravian Church, and retired as Assistant Pastor at Victory Baptist Church in Clemmons. Jimmy was also a member of Griffith Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gaye Ferris Clodfelter; two sons, Timothy Mark Clodfelter (Rebecca) and Joseph R. Clodfelter (Anna); one granddaughter, Hannah; and two grandsons, Joshua and Aaron. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Griffith Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Brown and Rev. Bobby Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Davidson County EMS, 937 N. Main St., Lexington, NC 27292 or Kate B.
