Jimmie Lee Swaim Jr.

Mr. Jimmie Lee Swaim Jr., 66, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on December 13, 2024, at Trellis Supportive Care in Winston-Salem. Jimmie was born in Cumberland County, on May 5, 1958, to the late Mr. Jimmie Lee Swaim Sr. and Mrs. Hazel Ledford Bryant. After graduation he attended Forsyth Technical Community College and studied to be an electrician. Jimmie served as an electrician off and on until 1991, when he went to work for Collins Aerospace, formally BE Aerospace. He served as a seat assembler and was promoted to technical trainer; he traveled all around the world showing other mechanics how to fix airplane seats. He worked for Collins Aerospace until retirement with 33 years of service. 

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Tanya Swaim; sons, Lee (Jennifer), Robbie (Wendy), and Chris; four grandchildren, Lauren, Sam, Max, and Leah; three cousins, Penny, Pam, and Gary; and special friends, Terry Prevette, Jeff and Nicole, Shane and Sabrina, and Steve and Alice. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 6:00 ~ 8:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
