Jimmie Lee Marion

Mr. Jimmie Lee Marion, 83, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born August 3, 1931 in Elkin, NC to Jack A. Marion and Maude Shore Marion. Mr. Marion retired from Kraft Foods after 27 years and later from Kmart after 22 years. He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Dawn Marion; two sisters and four brothers. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Jo Anne Southern Marion; one daughter, Sherry Foster (John) of Winston-Salem; two sons, Randy Marion (Amy) of King and Patrick Marion (Wendy) of Lexington; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
