Jimmie Ray Hepler

Mr. Jimmie Ray Hepler, 75, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born August 5, 1935 in Forsyth County to the late Zebulon and Rosa Bodford Hepler. Mr. Hepler retired from the U.S. Air Force with 22 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Hepler enjoyed fishing, watching football and NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a brother, Frank Hepler; four sisters, Maxine Hepler, Nona Ford, Lottie Childress, and Sandra Williams. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Helma S. Hepler; three sons, Frank Hepler, Bruce Hepler and wife Kathy, and William Hepler; six grandchildren, Brian, Mark, Jennifer, Michelle, Holly, and Brandon; four great-grandchildren, Blake, Kayleigh, Jacob, and Ava; also surviving are a sister, Doris Wilkins and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, October 4, 2010 at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:30 PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family would like to thank Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Mr. Hepler.
