Jimmie Bouchard Bame

Mrs. Jimmie Bouchard Bame, 77 of Winston-Salem, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the Sticth Palliative Care Center. Mrs. Bame was born January 26, 1932 in Buncombe, County, and grew up in Valdese a daughter of the late Henry Bouchard and the late Augusta Morrow Bouchard. She was a member of Central Terrace United Methodist Church and was the organist for St. Philips Moravian Church. Over the years she was the organist for several Methodist, and Moravian Churches in the Winston-Salem area. She volunteered at Brenner's Children's Hospital for a number of years, and attended Pfeiffer College. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen and Scott Bame. She is survived by her husband, Charles Reid Bame of the home, and daughter, Susan Bame of Asheville. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Robert Peek officiating. Entombment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at the Funeral Home.
