Jettie Davis

Kernersville – Mrs. Jettie Kathleen Hutchens Davis, 97, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Kernersville Medical Center. She was born June 8, 1922 to the late Eli Herman Hutchens, and Dicey Emmaline Wall Hutchens. Jettie loved to knit, make quilts and dish clothes that she gave away and sold to so many. She loved to feed her family and made the “Best” yeast rolls for her grandchildren who she loved to spoil. Jettie was active at the YMCA up until she was 94.

She is survived by her three children, Jane Angell and husband Gary, William “Bill” Davis and wife Karen, Mark H. Davis and wife Kathryn, six grandchildren; Kimberly Clewis and husband Joey, Billy Davis, Heather Lombardi and husband Patrick, James Davis, Jonathan Davis and wife Amy, Jay Davis and wife Jackie, ten great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, a special nephew, Charles Crayton, and a special nieces, Carol Ann Myers, and Libby Blankenship.

Due to the limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time, a private graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to the donor’s choice. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
